Forest Fire Extinguishing
The Business partnership, where SPORTİF HAVACILIK is a partner, has been granted the work of Providing Fire Extinguishing Service with 9 helicopters (26/01/2010) in 2010-year additional helicopter tender of the Turkish Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
Fire extinguishing service is being provided all around Turkey and also in Northern Cyprus and other neighboring countries as necessary. 13 fire extinguishing helicopters with sufficient capacity is being deployed in provinces such as İzmir, Muğla, Antalya, Adana, Çanakkale, K.Maraş, İstanbul, Denizli, Balıkesir, Mersin, Zonguldak and Bursa, where the fires are encountered the most, during the May-October months (known as the fire season) and the these helicopters immediately intervene to any possible fire incidents. The Ministry of Forestry has concluded the work of provision of 13 helicopters in 2009 by signing a 5-year contract. SPORTİF HAVACILIK who has won the tender held for the additional helicopter requirement that are to start their operation as of June 2010, will provide fire extinguishing services with 9 helicopters as turnkey delivery.
